Downtown Walkability
The proposed Hospital Concept represents poor urban design. First off, the long and large box structure violates short block requirements for walkability [Ref.].
Next the hospital is not human scale and furthermore surrounded by surface parking. They've offered a suburban design, and it is well known that surface parking is not a design element. [Ref.]

November 20, 2017 - It's bad, just listen to people, "...that abundance of surface parking will preclude development in this neighborhood for decades. It's antithetical to promoting walkability."
I want to support this project, but that abundance of surface parking will preclude development in this neighborhood for decades. It's antithetical to promoting walkability, which keeps people healthy. This hospital should be designed with that in mind.
