In a Feb. 28 guest column, Mohawk Valley Health System president/CEO Scott H. Perra said that MVHS has had community forums about the proposed hospital “and as we know more, we will host additional forums in the coming months.” We can find no record of any forums having been held; if there were, they were not widely publicized. Further, any public forums now will be little more than gratuitous since the decision has already been made.

It’s not certain yet whether the police department and maintenance garage would be included. Utica City Court would not.

At least two parking garages and a medical office building would be built across the street from the hospital. Another 17-acre parcel is under consideration for those projects, but it’s not certain where within that parcel those buildings would go.
