June 14, 2018: City Draft Zoning Document
Utica had been studying, planning, and promoting historical canal-era redevelopments. Redeveloping mill-era properties, attracting more residents with a Loft Study, and Master Planning that emphasized walkable neighborhoods. New efforts are underway to modify zoning, and it is most assuredly to allow the downtown hospital concept.
We watched the same fiasco with the attempted Master Plan review debacle. More people need to read, The Big Urban Mistake.

In today's @uticaOD the @CityofUtica plans #zoning update. We'll be there, might this be about a big shiny hospital? pic.twitter.com/z4hiC9QKbO

December 30, 2017 - Hospital concept is wrong for Downtown Utica, and does not fit prior plans and legislation...
The @MVHealthSystem hospital concept is wrong for Downtown Utica, tries to #flipthescript at wrong time https://t.co/KOgiNvqDXN Dear @NYGovCuomo #NoHospitalDowntown is also the winning message for you, healthcare too! pic.twitter.com/FlU9nN2wah

December 21, 2017 - Huge boxes, one a tax-exempt hospital, another for 1,500 parked cars, and a sea of surface parking...
How appropriate that on this Christmas Season, @CityofUtica is haunted by the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come. Thank God it's only a #nightmare that we have time to save ourselves from! God bless us. Everyone! pic.twitter.com/qDVJ8Y5jR3

Any urban planner, at least not one "on the take", or in a politician's back pocket, would never-ever offer this concept as an urban revitalization proposal, NEVER!!!
Report list: https://t.co/319U1kGCNq which @CityofUtica ignores. Expensive, taxpayer-funded, plans. 2011 Master plan https://t.co/1iCXg6sqhc pic.twitter.com/USwkIk871p

Our group is not opposed to investing in the region's healthcare and not against a new hospital, just the Downtown Utica location - selected by politicians!
We're 4,100+ Strong At #NoHospitalDowntown and say: Just Build IT At St. Luke's!, already home to Utica's Oneida County Medical District.
